Billy Bob Thornton

I got to talk to Billy Bob Thornton today! After having just recently watched the Coen’s The man who wasn’t there, this was kind of a big deal for me, even if I was talking to him about his Americana rock band. I’ll confess that I was a bit more taken in by his person than his music but from what he tells me that isn’t terribly uncommon.

Also, he’s just about one of the friendliest, grounded celebrities I’ve ever spoken to, despite having one of the most insane life stories I’ve ever heard. I’m sure I came across like a complete tool, which, if any of the many interviews I’ve transcribed are any evidence, is sort of my thing. Honestly, if I ever met anyone who talked like me on recordings, I would probably break their nose before their second sentence.
